In the nick of time
in the nick of time
you appeared before me
before i can grow out my mustache
and you can grow out your wings
we meet here on this mundane day
held together by a mundane wind
pulled towards each other
stuck on each other's skin
Like sweat
Then
drip off each other’s skin
one day I will put on work shoes
and you will flee this town
we will hop back on our calculated tracks
Choo-choo
The train rides on
And on and on and on
Towards the ends of this world
How big is the world we live in
And how small are we
I asked my father, but he does not know
Perhaps to be a man is to start to know that i cannot always know things
but all trains depart
all the trains
all the trains of the world
depart
In the nick of time
